We LOVE our PTO!
The entire staff at Prospect Elementary would like to give a big THANK YOU to our PTO for everything they are doing for Teacher Appreciation week. This week teachers and staff are being treated to breakfast on Monday, desserts and car washes on Tuesday, lunch (donated from Lone Star) on Wednesday, donuts and juice on Thursday and an Ice Cream Bar on Friday! Teachers are also being given duty free lunch every day along with a raffle for gift baskets! Our tummies are full and our cars are clean, what better way to make happy teachers! Thank you again, PTO for everything you do to make our school a little better!

To the citizens of Union County
I am writing to comment on the recent public discussion and news media information regarding school spending. As Superintendent, I understand how important this issue is to everyone. I must say that I am increasingly concerned with how the spending practices of Union County Public Schools have been presented and characterized. At first, I chose not to respond, thinking that most thoughtful people would see this for what it is and it would run its course. However, I can no longer sit by and see a great school district, the shining star of this county, continue to be disrespected and unfairly characterized.
