Prospect's Fifth Grade classes chose their focus countries from all over the world. The countries that they chose are:
- Jonas - Australia
- Peachthong - Nicaragua
- Sutton - Italy
- Tidd - France

Students from Mrs. Jonas' class prepare to carry the Australian flag in the parade.

Taylor Belk and Dallas Deese represent Miss Peachthong's class by carrying the flag of Nicaragua.

Prospect's Spelling Bee was held on December 8, 2009 in the Media Center. Thirteen of Prospect's 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students competed for the blue ribbon, but it was 5th grader Carter Blackmon who succeeded in taking first place by spelling the word agricultural.
Kelly Peachthong is the 2010-2011 Teacher of the Year for Prospect Elementary School. Miss "P", as she is affectionately known to staff and students alike, is pictured here with several students from her 5th grade class.
